Ace is the newest addition to our team of stud dogs. We searched high and low for a dog with the pedigree, drive,
temperament, and health qualities to complement our line of females. Before coming to us, Ace had run a few
derbies in the US and Canada, earning placements on both sides of the border.
Ace is a very nicely sized male - he is quite capable of hauling in big geese all day, but small enough to fit in a snug
blind or boat. He is also perfectly sized for agility! He is our fastest dog - Ace has been clocked at free-running
speeds on the flat of over 35 mph (17 yps). He runs with great speed and style in the field and is a good marking
dog. However, he is not hard to handle- Ace is very obedient and has excellent line/blind manners. He is also VERY
relaxed in the house and content to just hang out - we love that 'off-switch'!
Both top and bottom of Ace's pedigree are impressive. His family members have contributed to the success of Labs
in field trials at the national level, hunt tests, agility and even pointing Lab trials. Ace earned his Junior Hunter title
last summer and will be competing in the agility ring this year. He is training towards his Senior Hunter title and hunts
in the fall. In his spare time, Ace enjoys swimming in the river and playing with the other dogs and cats.
